The Society
The Maintenance Engineering Society of Australia (MESA) is a Learned Technical
Society of like-minded people who share in the vision of MESA through the Royal
Charter and the Code of Ethics
of The Institution of Engineers, Australia. MESA is a not-for-profit
peak professional organisation, incorporated in Australia, which is not aligned
with and does not engage in commercial practise.
Mission
The Mission of MESA is to promote and advance all facets of the science and
practice of reliability and maintenance engineering and the engineering management
of assets, and to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas related thereto.
Membership
Membership
of MESA is open to any person who has an interest in the fields of reliability,
asset management and maintenance engineering. MESA membership embraces practitioners,
teachers, leaders and students in these fields. Corporate
Membership for any Enterprise is encouraged. MESA actively encourages
student members.
Activities
MESA actively facilitates the exchange of information and ideas as a major contribution
to the competitive prosperity of industry nationally and internationally. MESA
seeks world class excellence in maintenance engineering and management through
its membership, excellence awards and conferences,
eminent speakers and participation with Industrial,
commercial, academic, public and research organisations. MESA leads and represents
the discipline of maintenance engineering, reliability and asset management
through national and international links
and through the MESA Maintenance Model
(Engineering and Asset Capability Assurance).
